Seasons at Duffield now providing care 5 days a week

DUFFIELD, Va. -- Holston Medical Group’s Seasons at Duffield location is pleased to now be offering care 5 days a week. With women’s health specialist Scott R. Fowler, MD, FACOG, now joined by Tracie L. Price, FNP, CNM, and Martha Parker, FNP, CNM, patients will enjoy women’s health excellence-- close to home.
The expansion of women’s health care at HMG’s Duffield location expands the opportunity for care to women in rural areas of Southwest Virginia. As family nurse practitioners, both Price and Parker are seasoned women’s health practitioners with a passion for family involvement and education. Both were trained in nurse mid-wifery and received master’s of nursing from the Frontier Nursing University, Hyden, Ky.
“We’re providing a vast amount of patient education,” said Price. “It’s about meeting a woman’s individual needs.”
With a patient education emphasis and a desire to administer pre-natal care, Price and Parker will be offering group educational sessions at the Season’s at Duffield location. Extend family members will also be welcome in the sessions.
“We enjoy educating and involving the family in pre-natal care,” said Parker.
