Wesley Combs is contracted as chief information officer at Holston Medical Group (HMG) as well as serves as chief executive officer at OnePartner. Wearing multiple hats, Combs leads HMG in its role as an innovator in healthcare, and the region’s community health information exchange (HIE) through OnePartner. He handles the development and promotion of the community HIE through HMG in which the area’s largest health systems send about 100,000 patient visit records each month.
He is responsible for leading the information, infrastructure, security and data integrity of OnePartner’s national HIE platform, including analytics and data to support continuous process improvement in value-based healthcare. Combs oversees the managed services division of OnePartner and the Advanced Technology and Applications Center, which provides data center services and IT support to clients across various industries.
With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare technology field working side-by-side with practicing physicians, Combs’ breadth of knowledge and success seen through the community HIE drove OnePartner to support seven accountable care organizations (ACOs) and communities nationally. His leadership allows for community providers to have the opportunity to gain access to patient’s medical records – strengthening care coordination and communication across the continuum of care, with the ultimate goal of improving care and outcomes.
Combs received his Bachelor of Science in computer science at East Tennessee State University.
