Holston Medical Group (HMG) welcomes Family Nurse Practitioner, Heather Phelps, to HMG Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic at Medical Plaza in Kingsport, TN. The clinic offers immediate treatment for musculoskeletal injuries, chronic conditions, and provides the same high-quality, cost-effective, specialty care model as the Orthopedic Walk-In & Sports Medicine Clinic in Bristol.
Before coming to HMG, Phelps had the chance to work alongside many of HMG’s Orthopedic Physicians. “In my previous work experience, I remember seeing the quality of care they provided and thinking to myself that I too wanted to provide that same level of care.” Phelps is looking forward to serving the Kingsport community and seeing anyone from the athlete to the weekend warrior. “I am excited to be a part of HMG’s Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic in Kingsport, I want to provide patients with the best care possible, as well as the shortest recovery time possible, so they can quickly return to their quality of life.”
Phelps obtained her undergraduate in nursing at East Tennessee State University (Johnson City, Tennessee), her Master of Science in Nursing at King University (Bristol, Tennessee), and is a current member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Phelps has lived in the Tri-Cities area for over 20 years and now resides in Gray, Tennessee. She is currently enjoying the new adventures of motherhood and life with a 4-month-old.
