About Susie Dargan, NP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner Susie Dargan has a background in critical care and trauma nursing. She has worked as both a hospitalist and emergency nurse practitioner. She sees patients at both HMG Kingsport and Sapling Grove Urgent Care locations.

She enjoys the fast pace and varied environment of acute clinic care. “My goal is to understand a patient’s overall health as well as the injury or illness that brought them to the clinic. Together, we decide on a best treatment to maximize recovery.”

Every patient is unique, with lifestyle choices that can affect both acute and chronic illnesses. Dargan takes time to educate her patients about healthy changes. She strives to improve the overall quality of life for patients. She also counsels patients about medications. She says it is especially important to make sure that vulnerable populations understand potential side effects and/or drug interactions.

HMG Urgent Care Clinics offer quality healthcare for acute and chronic illnesses. It is a convenient, cost-effective option when illness strikes outside of regular office hours. Dargan says the breadth of urgent care medicine motivates health professionals to stay on top of acute, chronic and seasonal health issues.

She is licensed in Tennessee as both a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. She also has current certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Dargan and her husband reside in Jonesborough, Tenn. They enjoy outdoor activities, including travel, hiking and the beach.
