Dr. Makres

Thomas Makres, MD

Dr. Makres is a native of Bristol, Tennessee. He graduated from Bristol Tennessee High School, circa 1967. He attended college at the University of Richmond, graduating with a BS degree in Chemistry in 1971. After earning his undergraduate degree, he attended UT Medical College in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating with a M.D. degree in 1974.

Dr. Makres completed his Pediatric speciality residency in the Navy, serving in Bethesda, Maryland, as well as, aboard navy ships in the Atlantic ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Additionally, he spent two years at the Naval Hospital at Cherry Point Marine Air Base before returning to Bristol and opening this practice in January of 1980.

Dr. Makres is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and serves as a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. It is with the upmost pride and love that he has dedicated his life to the care of children.

Dr. Hommel

Jessica Hommel, MD

Dr. Hommel grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. She received a B.S. degree in Biology from East Tennessee State University in 2001 and received her M. D. degree from Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee in 2005.

Dr. Hommel completed her pediatric residency training in Shreveport, Louisiana. She spent two years working as a teaching physician in the pediatric clinic, emergency room, and pediatric sedation unit in Shreveport, Louisiana. She also worked at a pediatric acute care clinic in Columbus, Georgia.

In 2011, Dr. Hommel joined Bristol Pediatric Associates. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and serves as a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She lives in Bristol, TN with her husband and two children.

Dr. Hudson

Cassie Hudson, DO

Dr. Hudson received her bachelor of science at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and her medical doctorate degree from Lincoln Memorial University – Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, Harrogate.

Dr. Hudson completed her residency as Pediatric Chief Resident at ETSU – Quillen College of Medicine. Dr. Hudson’s professional interests include adolescent females and breastfeeding mothers.

In 2017, Dr. Hudson joined Bristol Pediatric Associates. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and serves as a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Dr. Stout

Lauren Stout, MD

Dr. Lauren Stout has a passion caring for pediatric patients. While Dr. Stout looks forward to assisting with everything from well-visits, sick-visits and vaccinations, she has a specific passion for helping children with asthma, ADHD, and providing education and care that is specific to teens and young adults.

Dr. Stout received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish from the University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC), her Doctor of Medicine from ETSU, and completed her pediatric residency from the University of South Carolina at Midlands Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Stout grew up in in East Tennessee and currently lives in Piney Flats with her husband, Jeremiah, and two dogs Lucy and Lola. Some of her favorite hobbies are going on walks with her dogs, reading, shopping, cooking, and going to movies.
