Do you have after-hours care?
In Kingsport, the HMG Pediatric After-Hours Clinic is open:
Mon – Fri: 5:30 pm -7:30 pm
Sat: 9 am – 1 pmThe HMG Pediatric After-Hours Clinic is only available to HMG patients.

Am I able to speak to a provider after-hours?
In Kingsport, we have our HMG Pediatric After-Hours Clinic, available to HMG patients only. Otherwise, we offer an answering service available 24/7, 365 days a year.
The HMG After-Hours Clinic is open:
Mon – Fri: 5:30 pm -7:30 pm
Sat: 9 am – 1 pm -
Do you have “same day” appointments?
Yes, if you need an appointment for a sick child, simply call the office.

Do we have to see the same provider all the time?
No, you may see whomever you prefer to see or who happens to be available for you.

What if my provider is unavailable or if I want to see someone else?
You may request to see a different provider and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How often does my child need to be seen for check-ups?
We follow the AAP guidelines for well child care.

Do you have a triage nurse?
Our nursing staff is available for medication refills and to answer questions. Simply call the office and ask.

Do you accept my insurance?
HMG accepts and files most insurance plans. Currently, we do not accept, Aetna Better Health of Virginia, Kentucky Medicaid, North Carolina Medicaid, Amerigroup TennCare, or Magellan CCC Plus of VA (Molina).

Are you taking new patients?
We are currently accepting new patients. You will simply need to ensure you have an insurance that we participate with. Currently, we do not accept, Aetna Better Health of Virginia, Kentucky Medicaid, North Carolina Medicaid, Amerigroup TennCare, or Magellan CCC Plus of VA (Molina).
