About Brittney Vestal, FNP

Vestal is a hometown resident of Bristol and has spent over 15 years practicing and serving patients in the community. She has a strong desire to advocate for her patients and believes that the best way to improve the health of patients is to gain a greater understanding of who they are. “I always wanted to practice medicine as a child – it’s the only career I’ve ever wanted to go into because of the personal relationship you can create with each individual,” she says. “There is a different level of comprehensive care you can offer up when you are deeply familiar with your patients.”

Bringing ample experience in caring for those with acute and chronic conditions, Vestal says she’s looking forward to working in a patient-centric environment. “What attracted me most to HMG was their strength and commitment to their patients. I knew it was place I could grow – and something I wanted to be part of.”

Vestal completed her Master of Nursing at East Tennessee State University in 2004. She also holds a B.S.N. in Nursing from King University. She is currently an adjunct faculty at King University and recently co-authored her first article in the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, “Using Compression Therapy in a Primary Care Setting to Treat Complications of Chronic Venous Insufficiency,” which will publish later this year.

She is licensed in Tennessee as both an Advanced Practice Nurse and Registered Nurse and has a current certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
