Stephanie Toney, FNP

Toney enjoys helping patients through education and empowerment, encouraging each patient to take control of their health. She also believes in a holistic approach to patient care, encompassing more than just what’s at the surface. “When a patient presents with an issue, I try to look at the whole picture of what is going on,” Toney says. “I try to understand their challenges at home or financial issues which can impact how likely they are to adhere to their care plan. It’s important we work together to find solutions that fit their needs and allow them control over their health.”

Toney obtained her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner at Tennessee Tech University, (Cookeville, Tenn.) and her Bachelor of Nursing at East Tennessee State University, (Johnson City, Tenn.). Toney is a Kingsport native, who now resides in Johnson City, Tenn. with her husband, two-year-old son and two dogs. Toney is an avid hiker and runner. Toney and her husband have traveled to several national parks and she loves the beauty of nature.
