A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Palmer received a bachelor of science degree in business and biochemistry from Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., and she earned her doctorate of medicine degree from the East Tennessee Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City. Palmer completed her residency with East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Bristol Family Practice.
