Ryan Kennedy, MD

Dr. Kennedy received his Bachelor of Science degree from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN and his medical doctorate degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV. Kennedy completed both his internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at University of Kentucky Graduate Medical Education in Lexington, KY. Dr. Kennedy is a member of the Endocrine Society and The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Dr. Kennedy joins the HMG Endocrinology Team, which provides patients with a comprehensive focus in Endocrinology and Metabolism including thyroid disease, metabolic disorders, endocrine cancer, and more. Dr. Kennedy’s special interests include the study and application of nutrition and strength/conditioning to optimization of performance and body composition.

Both Dr. Kennedy and his wife Jessica are native to Bristol, where both of their fathers are practicing physicians; cardiologist Dr. Christopher Kennedy and radiologist Dr. John Hutchison. Dr. Kennedy enjoys snow skiing, hiking, basketball, spending time with his wife and daughter, and is an avid college football fan.
