Randy Sermons

Randy Sermons serves as general counsel for Holston Medical Group (HMG) and its affiliates, such as HMG Medical Management, LLC; Accountable Physician Services, LLC; Emergent ACO, LLC; Meadowview ASC, LLC; OnePartner, LLC; OnePartner TN, LLC; OnePartner Health Solutions, LLC; Lucent Glow, LLC; and other related surgery center and real estate entities.

In his role, Sermons advises executive leadership and team members on general corporate governance and legal support, which includes board and governance development, strategic planning assistance, contractual review and transitions, internal policy review and implementation assistance. Additionally, he provides expertise on a full range of legal matters involving federal and state law (including review of legislative and regulatory developments), employment law, and healthcare policy and compliance guidance including all aspects of laws and regulations around Accountable Care Organizations, HIPAA, Anti-Kickback, Stark Law, Civil Money Penalties, among others.

As general counsel to OnePartner, Sermons provides support in development and implementation of the health information exchange regionally and nationally, including all aspects of network planning, contracting structures as well as policy and procedure drafting and development.

Sermons has over 20 years’ experience advising hospitals, academic medical centers, physicians, home health agencies and other health related entities on the intricate web of healthcare laws and regulations.

His work ensures HMG maintains a trusting, safe environment for patients, providers and team members alike. Sermons received his bachelor’s degree at Rhodes College and obtained his Juris Doctorate at the University of Memphis.
