Holston Medical Group welcomes Kacy Duncan, FNP, to HMG Endocrinology at Sapling Grove in Bristol, TN (240 Medical Park Blvd. Bristol, TN), joining Ryan Kennedy, MD in providing care to patients with diabetes and other conditions of the thyroid and endocrine systems.
From the time Duncan was in elementary school, she knew she wanted to be a nurse and care for people. “I remember getting the assignment in elementary school to draw a picture of what we wanted to be when we grew up, and I always drew a nurse,” Duncan said. “I kept that picture with me and looked at it often.”
Duncan was born and raised in Southwest Virginia and has a passion for caring for others. “I want to help my patients improve their quality of life,” said Duncan. “As a nurse practitioner, it’s important my patients know I care about them. My goal is to help them better understand their condition and work with them to meet their goals.”
Duncan obtained her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner at Carson Newman College, (Jefferson City, TN) and her Bachelor of Nursing at King College, (Bristol, VA).
Duncan is a Gate City, VA Native and she enjoys cooking Italian meals, hiking, and tackling Pinterest projects. She also enjoys live music and is looking forward to being able to attend concerts again soon.
