Holston Medical Group Announces Cheryl Stanski, MD, FACS, as Vice President

Today, Holston Medical Group announced that Cheryl Stanski, MD, FACS, MBA, has been appointed as Vice President of Holston Medical Group.

Dr. Stanski, a board-certified General Surgeon, has provided care at HMG since 2001, largely focusing on surgical treatment of breast cancer and breast-related issues. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Stanski has served in numerous senior leadership roles during her 20+ years with Holston Medical Group including serving as Medical Director for HMG’s MeadowView Outpatient Surgery Center and the Holston Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center, and President of Medical Staff for Indian Path Hospital.

In her new role as Vice President, Dr. Stanski will serve on the Executive team to achieve the organization’s objectives, assisting with growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, recruitment, new ventures, and partnerships to meet the expanding needs of the community with a patient-centered focus.

Serving as a liaison to the President, HMG personnel, and the community at large, Dr. Stanski will work to ensure that HMG’s mission to provide quality medical care that exceeds patient expectations and builds lasting relationships remains at the center of the organization’s focus.

Dr. Stanski received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, Nashville and completed her Doctorate of Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, LA. She completed her residency at Tulane University Department of Surgery and is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Tulane Surgical Society, and The American Association for Physician Leadership. She has also earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Dr. Stanski continues to deliver patient care while serving as Vice President to maintain a keen focus on the care HMG provides to its patients.
