HMG Orthopedics’ Lindsay Remy, MD, selected as Team Physician for the Kingsport Mets

Lindsay Remy, MDHolston Medical Group (HMG) and the Kingsport Mets are privileged to announce HMG Orthopedics’ Dr. Lindsay Remy as the Team Physician for the Kingsport Mets.

Dr. Remy is an orthopaedic surgeon who completed her sports medicine fellowship training at MedStar Union Memorial in Baltimore, Maryland. During her fellowship, she helped care for local collegiate and professional athletes, including the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Wizards. Dr. Remy specializes in the surgical treatment of sports related injuries and assists athletes in expedited recovery with advanced techniques and treatments.

“I am thrilled to be working with the Kingsport Mets as the team physician,” said Dr. Remy. “I have a passion for working with athletes of all ages to prevent and treat sports related injuries, helping them get back to what they love safely and quickly. I value my partnership with the Kingsport Mets and look forward to a long standing relationship with the coaches and players.”

As the Team Physician for the Kingsport Mets, Dr. Remy manages the provision of care for the players, providing guidelines which establish a foundation of best practices in the medical care of the athletes. Dr. Remy works with the athletic trainers and other members of the team to ensure steps are taken to prevent injury and to effectively treat injuries when they do occur. She provides education for the athletes, coaches and administrators and is responsible for the clearance of injured athletes to return to play.

Free tickets are available at HMG Urgent Care at Medical Plaza, 105 W Stone Drive, Kingsport. Fireworks will follow the game, sponsored by Quest Diagnostics.
