Holston Medical Group is increasing access to care for the Tri-Cities by adding Heather Fraysier, FNP, to the HMG Nephrology team located at 2008 Brookside Drive, Kingsport, TN. With over 20 years of experience, she will provide high-quality, cost-effective care for patients with acute or chronic kidney diseases and the body systems they affect.
Having grown up in this region, Fraysier felt a strong desire to give back and make a meaningful difference in her community. Inspired in high school by her grandmother’s experience with open-heart surgery, she developed a strong understanding of the value of a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare.
“I chose a healthcare career to educate, build trust, and advocate for my patients just like the physicians and nursing staff who took excellent care of her grandmother,” says Fraysier. “HMG’s commitment to patient-centered care and its wide range of specialties and locations aligns perfectly with my vision for comprehensive and holistic care. Joining HMG’s team of highly qualified providers has been a dream come true.”
Fraysier will assist patients in developing personalized treatment plans for kidney disease, dialysis, and kidney transplants. Leaning on the shared philosophy to help patients live the best life possible, Fraysier will support HMG’s team in educating patients on the best care options that fit their unique lifestyles.
Fraysier received her Master of Science in Nursing at Carson-Newman University, Jefferson City, TN, and her Bachelor of Science from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.
Fraysier enjoys spending time on her farm with her husband and two sons. Their family enjoys outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. She is an adjunct professor at Carson-Newman University and attends Vicars Baptist Church in Gate City, VA.
