Holston Medical Group welcomes Lindsay Brianna Lancaster, DO, to HMG Pediatrics at Abingdon, located at 391 Falls Drive NW, Abingdon, VA, 24210.
Dr. Lancaster joins Dr. Sarah Seeley-Dick, a well-known and respected pediatrician with strong roots in Abingdon. HMG opened HMG Pediatrics at Abingdon on July 17, 2023, providing the Abingdon community with high-quality, affordable care.
Dr. Lancaster became interested in biology at a young age and always thought she wanted to attend veterinarian school. With this interest, she did a lot of shadowing and volunteering in the medical field throughout high school and realized she enjoyed caring for people.
“Pediatrics was my last rotation in medical school, and I immediately fell in love with it,” said Dr. Lancaster. “From my first day in that office, I knew caring for pediatric patients is what I wanted to do with my life.”
Dr. Lancaster explained that she loves working with kids and their parents. “The interest and investment that the parents and caregivers make with their children’s health is such an important part of pediatrics,” said Dr. Lancaster. “Listening to them is critical to work together on a positive outcome.”
She enjoys first newborn visits and watching families grow. “Every age, from newborns to teenagers, is exciting,” said Dr. Lancaster. “Kids are so resilient, and often, quick treatment can immediately positively impact their quality of life.”
Dr. Lancaster received her doctorate at Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, Harrogate, TN, and completed her pediatric residency at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN.
Dr. Lancaster enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three doodle dogs. She enjoys playing board games with friends, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and local coffee shops.
