Holston Medical Group welcomes Ashley Bird, FNP-C, to HMG Primary Care at Weber City, 1754 US Hwy S, Weber City, VA.
Ashley is a Scott Co., Va. native who grew up knowing she wanted to be a nurse. Because of her passion for nursing, she became a nurse practitioner to serve her community at a higher level of care.
She enjoys getting to know patients on a personal level. “Building a personal relationship with my patients is very important to me,” said Ashley. “We can work together to meet their health goals and create a plan to help them stay healthy.”
“I’ve worked in a hospital setting for most of my career,” said Ashley. “Screening and prevention occur at the primary care level, and I learned that many patients could have prevented hospitalization by proper primary care management.”
Ashley explained how important it is to have a primary care provider. “I’m excited to help patients achieve their best self and to be here for all their needs,” stated Ashley. “I look forward to providing primary care to the members of the community where I grew up and still call home.”
Ashley is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Ashley received her Master of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN. She received her undergraduate degree from King University, Bristol, TN.
Ashley enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons. Their family can be found playing outdoors, attending sporting events, and enjoying the family farm.
