Jason Mccray portrait HMG’s The Urology Clinic welcomes family nurse practitioner Jason McCray, FNP, to their location at 2340 Knob Creek Rd. Ste. 720, Johnson City.

After several years working in the construction industry, McCray decided to return to school to pursue a career in healthcare as a nurse practitioner. Encouraged by his wife, a nurse practitioner herself, McCray says, “My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.”

McCray has over a decade of cardiac and emergency care experience treating a variety of conditions. “I enjoy caring for patients and helping them improve their quality of life,” said McCray. “When a patient presents with an acute need, it’s gratifying to be able to help them feel better quickly.”

McCray joins Dr. David Beaird, Dr. Lincoln Olsen, Dr. William Rogers, Dr. Phillip Stokes, and Dr. Wayne Tongco in providing the region with high-quality urologic care.

“I’m excited to work with the providers at The Urology Clinic,” stated McCray. “They are well-respected in their field, and working alongside them and learning from their vast experience and knowledge is a privilege. With a background in emergency medicine, I know firsthand how much urological conditions can affect overall health,” McCray explained.

McCray received his Master of Science in Nursing Degree from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tenn, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from King University, Tenn.

McCray is a Southwest Virginia native. He and his wife, Stacie McCray, DNP, who is also a provider with Holston Medical Group at Seasons for Women, have two adult children and enjoy time on the lake with their two Labrador retrievers. In addition, he enjoys mountain biking and fly fishing.
