About Amanda Horn
Horn is passionate about helping families who have struggled with infertility and pregnancy loss as she and her husband also struggled to become parents. When they finally became the proud parents of their sweet baby boy, Horn knew she wanted to become a healthcare provider to serve and help women. “It was through my experience in conceiving that I became passionate about serving women,” said Horn.
“The cornerstone of the care I provide is through patient education and patient autonomy,” said Horn. “As a provider, I take time with them to help them understand what is happening to their body and how it works.”
Horn believes in empowering patients to be the leaders of their healthcare team. “As a Midwife, I have adequate time with women and their partners to develop a relationship of trust and to provide appropriate education, helping them make the most informed decisions,” stated Horn.
Horn obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Creighton University (Omaha, Neb.) and her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University (Versailles, Ky). Horn considers the mountains of Tennessee her home, where she resides with her husband, young son, and pets. In her spare time, she helps out on the family farm with cattle, donkeys, and a garden. In addition, she is exploring the game of golf and enjoys traveling, floral design, and home improvement projects.
