HMG welcomes Daniel Chester, M.D., FLS, FES, to HMG General Surgery at Medical Plaza at 105 W. Stone Dr., Ste. 4A., Kingsport, TN, and HMG General Surgery at Sapling Grove, located at 240 Medical Park Blvd., Ste. 2600, Bristol, TN.
Dr. Chester was born in New Orleans and became a refugee from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. At that time, he and his family moved to Virginia. His father was in the medical field, and Dr. Chester watched his father take care of his patients from a young age, and he wanted to follow in his footsteps. “My father always had a good relationship and rapport with his patients,” said Dr. Chester. “He was always an expert on the newest studies, and I will do the same, resulting in a leading edge for my patients.”
Dr. Chester has extensive training in robotic surgery. “I’m excited to bring my expertise in robotic surgery to HMG,” said Dr. Chester. “This is my preferred way to conduct surgery, allowing me to be precise and meticulous.”
Dr. Chester received his doctorate at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans, LA, and completed his residency at the Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Chester enjoys spending quality time with his wife, and they are both looking forward to calling Kingsport, TN, home. He also enjoys lifting weights and running. In addition, he collects and sells sneakers.
