The Renaissance Surgery Center announced today that it officially re-opened an outpatient surgery center in the Bristol West building at the Pinnacle in Bristol, Tennessee to deliver access to high-quality, cost-effective surgical care.
Holston Medical Group is leading this effort, and the Center offers the community personalized care for same-day surgeries in a safe and convenient setting. The addition of this community resource is part of HMG’s long-term plan to seek and implement new options of care that best meet the needs of patients and the community.
“As a physician-owned and led organization, it is our mission and philosophy to put the best interests of our patients above all else,” said Scott Fowler, M.D., FACOG, president and CEO, HMG. “It is our responsibility as healthcare providers to identify and introduce patient-centric, value-based resources for our community. In the Bristol area specifically, with limited outpatient options, we opened this surgery center to meet the surgical needs of patients seeking access to specialists outside of high-cost hospital-owned settings.”
Recently, the Surgery Center facilitated two successful total joint replacement surgeries, which marks Bristol’s first surgery of its kind in an outpatient setting.
“We are excited to be able to operate in the Renaissance Surgery Center, allowing patients a more cost-effective alternative compared to the inpatient setting,” said Dr. Jason Park, Orthopedic Surgeon, HMG. “This allows my patients the ability to recover in the comfort of their home and saving them thousands of dollars.”
The Renaissance Surgery Center includes two surgical rooms and one procedure room and will accommodate a variety of procedures for adults and children. In order to expand services offered at the Surgery Center and provide opportunities for physicians to succeed in creating value for their patients, HMG has partnered with several other local, independent surgical physicians. Currently, the Center offers the following types of surgeries and procedures:
- Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
- General surgery
- Gynecology Orthopedic
- Pain management
- Podiatry
- Spine
- Urogynecology
- Urology
“I had my first total knee replacement with Dr. Park at the hospital, and most recently, had the surgery on my other knee at Renaissance Surgery Center,” said Suzanne Booher, one of HMG’s first total joint replacement outpatient surgery patients. “I felt that my time at the new Renaissance Center was a more one-on-one, family-friendly experience. The care I received was very easy, fast and convenient. I was so comfortable with Dr. Park and the entire staff, and my whole family was pleased with the entire process.”
