3D Ultrasound
Preparing for Your 3D Ultrasound
To ensure the clearest ultrasound images, please consider the following tips:
Hydration
Increase your water intake a few days before your ultrasound. Aim for 6–8 bottles per day, starting about a week before your appointment. You do not need to arrive with a full bladder.
Snack
Have a snack about an hour before your appointment. This can help increase your baby’s activity and improve image quality.
What to Expect
If you're considering a 3D ultrasound, the following information is helpful before scheduling:
- This is an elective procedure and does not replace diagnostic ultrasounds or other recommended medical care.
- Because it is elective, this service is typically not covered by insurance and requires advance payment.
- Image quality depends on factors such as fetal position, developmental stage, and body composition. Results cannot be guaranteed.
- Distribution or sharing of ultrasound media not provided by Seasons is not permitted.
- If the baby’s position prevents clear imaging, a one-time complimentary rescan may be scheduled. Refunds are not provided for completed services.
