Holston Medical Group welcomes Amber Moss, DO, to HMG Primary Care at Meadowview, located at 2033 Meadowview Ln, Ste. 300., Kingsport, TN.
Dr. Moss became interested in practicing medicine at a young age and dreamed of being a rural town doctor. “I practiced frontier medicine in a very remote area in Wyoming,” said Dr. Moss. “The years serving in those communities created a very diverse and extensive range of care. It allowed me to practice medicine for isolated populations, and at times I was the only doctor within an hour’s drive.”
Dr. Moss has been practicing medicine for eight years and is excited to return the region and serve in a small-town atmosphere. “Raised in a Southwest Virginia rural small town myself, I feel like I’m coming back home,” said Dr. Moss.
“I want my patients to live healthier lives and be empowered to make good decisions for themselves,” said Dr. Moss. “I believe teaching and guiding patients is important, and together, we can determine what works best for each patient.”
Dr. Moss received her doctorate at the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pikeville, KY., and completed her residency at the University of Wyoming, Cheyenne, WY.
Dr. Moss enjoys spending quality time with her husband and five children. She loves cooking for her family and trying new recipes. Dr. Moss is an active member of Liberty Baptist Church in Bristol, TN.
