Dr. Jerry Miller inducted into Junior Achievement “Business Hall of Fame.”

Dr MillerHMG Founder & President Dr. Jerry Miller, has been honored with induction into the Junior Achievement of Tri-Cities TN/VA “Business Hall of Fame” during their May 13 gala event.

Criteria for selection for the prestigious honor include a demonstration of business excellence, courageous thought and action, inspired leadership and dedication to the community.

“Dr. Miller has been integral in many advances of care within our region, most notably the integration and utilization of electronic health information,” begins Cathy Salley, president of Junior Achievement. “It is an honor for our organization to recognize his contributions and accomplishments within the region.”

A Southwest Virginia native, Dr. Miller received recognition for his lifelong commitment to the region, striving to initially expand primary care to an underserved population and then working to see that the region becomes a frontrunner in the delivery of the most advanced care.

Dr. Miller is the first physician to be inducted into the Junior Achievement “Business Hall of Fame.”

Since its inception in 1994, the Business Hall of Fame, which was established to honor the champions of free enterprise and to present role models in business to youth, has welcomed 50 Laureates. A selection committee chooses nominees as Laureates. The Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame honors business leaders who have played a prominent role in our region.
